Saturday in the Park

We took Alison for her first of what will be many trips to Fitler Square. She met the goat, and the bear and the turtles (as you will see, she seemed to be a little cranky by the time she met the turtles). For those not from Philly, Fitler Square is a lovely little park in my favorite neighborhood in the city (our apartment last year overlooked the park). We will look forward to attending the Halloween parade, Christmas Tree lighting, Easter Egg Hunt and other events they have for kids at the park.

Ali loves to look all around and take in everything

As my friend Kim said, maybe the turtle was moving too fast for her

What a difference a day makes. After some of the changes we have made with medicine and formula, Alison is doing better. She still has fussy episodes, but nothing as bad as she was about a week ago. Above is Rich holding her in a position that is supposed to help colic babies. As you can see, he was not very successful then, below you will see how she took to it one day later.

She loves her new chair (it’s one of the things that has helped calm her)

In deep contemplation

I don’t even know if you read your comments, or frankly who else can read them, but I was just looking for cute neice pictures and read about that colic and had to offer my sympathy. Hannah had colic. I think until I had her I wasn’t even sure colic was real, but I remember it was hard for a while, and not a lot seemed to help. She was so sweet except between 6 p.m. and somewhere between 12 and 2 a.m. Greg and I just took it in shifts. It was the only time in my life when I was a regular viewer of Baywatch. Not necessarily helpful, I know. If it makes you feel any better Hannah became a pretty easy child somewhere aound 6 months and hasn’t looked back. She still has fussy moments, do we call them fussy moments when they are 12? But I think that is normal. Alison is beautiful and has a great smile. Ginger
